The truth is, community already does this. More experienced players often stay in noob corps long enough to teach the younger ones.

But in exisitng environment newbies don’t see what EVE *could* be. This is why I think giving new players a big target to shoot and a group of wingmen would be a unique experience of cooperation with many other players. This experience is one of the things which makes EVE such a great game even for seasoned players.

True, I have a Star Trek Online account (it’s free to play now so I recently checked on it) and STO has a launcher as well. It’s a common trend.
But I don’t think STO is using P2P downloads, and I know for sure that Blizzard does. They use it for all games which can be acquired as a digital download.

A lot of MMO games use a launcher these days, not surprised Eve is going that route.

When I first started playing EVE I actually had a reason to “escape”, but that reason is long gone. What keeps me playing right now is the evolution of EVE*. What’s coming next? How is it going to evolve? How does it end up?
