JAVA EVE API Reader [Obsolete]

icon_exclamation_96End of life notification:

I am now developing a new, web based tool “LMeve“. Because of it, this app will not be supported or updated anymore.

JAVA EVE API Reader (beta)

Static Data: Retribution 1.0
App can be downloaded in a ZIP archive, or started by the browser using JAVA Web Start:

Download API Reader Launch JAVA EVE API Reader

Program uses an EVE API key to download information about your current active character (activity is determined by the skill training). You can think of it as a portable (runs on windows, linux, mac, solaris) replacement for another great tool, the famous EVEMON.

This App will let you view your character progress in EVE Online. JAVA EVE API Reader features:

  • Trained Skills
  • Current Skill Queue
  • Character Attributes & Implants
  • Character Location & current Ship
  • Industry jobs (character)
  • Market log (character)
  • EVE Mail
  • Calendar
  • Recent kills

This App will automatically choose the character which is currently training.

Before you use JAVA EVE API Reader

You have to get an API key first.

CCP has recently (09.2011) changed the way EVE API works, and now it is possible to customize which parts of API are accessible with a specific key. To make full use of this application, you should check all information.

Program requires at least Limited API key which you can download from here:

https://support.eveonline.com/API/Key/Create

Of course, if you would like to use more advanced features like wallet transaction report, industry jobs list or last killmail, you need the Full API key.

Quick guide:

Privacy notice:

No personal information or API keys is collected, nor sent to any internet service. API key provided by the user is only used to download necessary XML files from eveonline.com

Please do mind however, that your character information, including the API key is cached locally on your computer in a temporary folder.

Java doesn’t work; assets not all signed with the same certificate

Thanks for the heads up, I will look into it. Will also update the static data while I’m at it.

Update: It’s just the Web Start version that isn’t signed properly. The other one is fine. Thanks for this: no EVEMon on mac!

The webstart version should be fixed now (tested on Win XP + Chrome 18.0.1025.162 + Java JRE 7u4)
I have also updated the static data with Inferno 1.0 dump.
