Standup Moon Drill I

Description

"Not enough mantle penetration! Chunks are not big enough! Up the output energy by 40%! I want it to be like the drill punches a moon in the face and forces it to hand over its lunch money!" - Scribbled note on Moon Drill test-firing report returned to Upwell R&D from the office of Yani Sar Arteu.

The Standup Moon Drill uses a series of directed energy pulses to carve a quarrying pattern in the mantle of a moon, before blasting loose and tractoring the resultant chunk of ore-rich material into orbit, where it will be sliced into artificial asteroids for mining by capsuleers.

While an Upwell Structure has at least one service module online, it will enter "full power" mode and gain significantly increased shield and armor hitpoints and an extra reinforcement cycle.

Standup is a proprietary system that uses a Structure Autonomous Nanoassembly Device (Upwell) containing integrated template software, a nanoassembler array and sufficient nanomass to enable the construction of a variety of service modules, structure modules and structure rigs when inserted into the appropriate slots on a structure built with Upwell technology.
